Former MP for Didcot is running for Didcot again, but this time the ex-MP is running the London Marathon.

Lord Vaizey is raising money for the Didcot Powerhouse Fund, which helps address deprivation and inequality within the town.

He served the town for more than fourteen years and has strong local associations. He helped establish Didcot First, the campaign group which brings business and community groups together; was for many years president of Didcot Town Football Club; and is a patron of TRAIN, the local youth charity.

After retiring as an MP, he joined the House of Lords, and took as his title Lord Vaizey of Didcot. He even has a town sign hanging on the wall of his Oxfordshire home.

He said: "I had wonderful support from the town when I was an MP, and I am thrilled to have the chance to give something back - assuming I'm able to finish."
