OXFORD MAGISTRATES’ COURT

ASHTON LOWE, 35, of HMP Oakwood, admitted attacking a Bullingdon prison officer on February 1, 2020. He was sentenced to six weeks imprisonment.

BRANDON SANDERS, 20, of Hollow Way, Oxford, was fined £200 after he pleaded guilty to attacking a man in Witney and threatened to damage his car. He must pay £74 in costs and surcharge.

JOHN MATTHEWS-BURKE, 33, of Yates Close, Oxford, admitted breaching his restraining order by making derogatory Facebook comments about a woman. He was sentenced to 16 weeks imprisonment suspended for a year and must complete 160 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days. A restraining order preventing him from contacting his victim for two years and he must pay £168 in costs and victim surcharge.

CHARLIE STOCKFORD, 28, of Oxford Road, Abingdon, was given a two year community order and ordered to complete the Building Better Relationships programme with the probation service after he pleaded guilty to causing a woman actual bodily harm in Abingdon on December 19 last year, stalking her, damaging her phone and drink driving. He was fined £450, ordered to pay £1,000 to his victim, banned from the roads for three years and must complete up to eight rehabilitation activity requirement sessions with probation. He was ordered to pay £130 in costs and surcharge. A restraining order prevents him from contacting his victim for two years.

IOAN BUTA, 28, of Sugworth Lane, Radley, was found to have failed to self-isolate after returning to the UK from Romania in March. The court record noted he continued to leave his house on a daily basis despite the coronavirus regulations requiring him to self-isolate. He was fined £1,760 and must pay £205 in costs and surcharge.

BERNARD DAY, 50, of Morrell Crescent, Littlemore, was fined £1,760 for breaking coronavirus regulations. He was found out of the house without a reasonable excuse on February 8. A few minutes before he was issued with a ticket for breaking the rules he’d been told to go home. He was ordered to pay £205 in costs and surcharge.

AKMAL DOGAR, 33, of Lime Walk, Oxford, was fined £1,760 for breaking the Covid-19 rules after he was found in Farnham Road, Slough. The magistrates found that he’d left the place he was living without a reasonable excuse. He was ordered to pay £205 in costs and surcharge.

LUCY GRANT, 21, of Sturt Close, Charlbury, was found to have taken part in a gathering at her home in February in breach of the coronavirus regulations. She was fined £1,100 and must pay £195 in costs and surcharge.

RICKY HISSEY, 19, of Wellington Street, Wantage, was fined £1,100 and must pay £195 after he was found by magistrates to have taken part in a gathering at a house in Hawksworth Close, Oxford, in breach of covid rules.

LEWIS JONES, 21, of Broad Oak, Oxford, was found to have taken part in a covid rule-flouting gathering at a flat in Beech Road, Oxford, in February. He was fined £1,760 and must pay £205 in costs and surcharge.

DAVID WHITHAM, 34, of Dinnington, Rotherham, was fined £1,760 for entering the Wolvercote BP services without a face covering. He was ordered to pay £205 in costs and surcharge.

KIRSTEN SEYMOUR, 49, of Kennington Road, Oxford, admitted speeding on Rose Hill, Oxford, last May. She was fined £100, given three points and must pay a £34 victim surcharge. An offence of failing to provide information to the police about the driver of a vehicle involved in a traffic offence was withdrawn after Seymour applied to have the case reopened.

ADAM PAYNE, 29, of Kibble Close, Didcot, admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend appointments in July. He was fined £150, must pay a £34 victim surcharge and the length of the community order was extended.

KAI SAWYER, 24, of Old Windsor, admitted failing to attend post-sentence supervision appointments in late 2019. He was sentenced to a day’s imprisonment, as he appeared before the magistrates’ court while in custody on other matters.

ETHAN ALLSFORD, 27, of Insall Road, Chipping Norton, was fined £660 and given six penalty points for driving on the A34 without insurance. He must pay £156 in costs and surcharge.

EDUARD AZOITEI, 23, of Waynflete Road, Headington, was found to have failed to identify the driver of a Peugeot suspected of speeding in Oxford. He was fined £660, given six points and ordered to pay £156 in costs and surcharge.

KEVIN BAKER, 42, of Chamberlain Place, Kidlington, admitted doing 60mph on the A41 at Bicester. He was fined £100 for speeding, given three penalty points and ordered to pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

LYAM BRAIN, 26, of Powys Grove, Banbury, was fined £150 and given six points after he admitted driving without insurance in March. He was ordered to pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

OLIVER BURNE, 47, of Bromyard, Herefordshire, pleaded guilty to speeding on the A41 at Bicester. He was caught doing 74mph in the 40 zone. The magistrates fined him £500, imposed six points and ordered he pay £140 in costs and surcharge.

MIAN CHEN, 42, of Netherwoods Road, Oxford, admitted speeding on the A41 at Bicester, having been clocked driving at 72mph. He was fined £692, given six points and ordered to pay £159 in costs and surcharge.

BRIAN CROSS, 37, of Coltsfoot Square, Oxford, was fined £424 and given six points after he pleaded guilty to doing 71mph on the A41 at Bicester. The magistrates imposed £132 in costs and surcharge.

DARREN FOLEY, 34, of Barton Road, Oxford, was found to have been speeding on the A41 at Bicester. His car was recorded doing 76mph in the 40 zone. He was fined £660, given six penalty points and ordered to pay £156 in costs and surcharge.

WILLIAM GOBLE, 33, of Stourbridge, Worcs, admitted driving on the A41 at 70mph in a 40 zone. He was fined £400, given six points and told to pay £130 in costs and surcharge.

TRACEY HUNTER, 42, of Amwell Place, Cholsey, was fined £63 after she pleaded guilty to speeding on the A34 at Botley. She was caught doing 58mph in the 50 zone. The magistrates imposed three penalty points and ordered she pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

OLIVER JAUDIN, 24, of The Warren, Abingdon, admitted speeding on the A41 at Bicester, having been caught doing 65mph. He was fined £307, given six points and was told to pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

GEORGE JOHNSON, 24, of Fairfield, Cholsey, was found to have driven a mechanically propelled vehicle on a restricted byway on Bucklebury Common, near Reading. He was fined £220 and must pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

TABITHA KAY, 27, of New Road, Shillingford, was fined £261 after she admitted driving without insurance in Wallingford. Her licence was endorsed with six penalty points and she must pay £124 in costs and surcharge.
