Another 388 people have tested positive for coronavirus across Oxfordshire in the past 24 hours, figures show. 

That was up from the 375 new cases announced on Friday afternoon. 

But it remains below the 475 cases confirmed on August 26. Then, the significant increases were driven by the numbers testing positive for Covid in Oxford, South Oxfordshire and Cherwell council areas. 

Case rates in the county are lower than they were during the post-Christmas lockdown and the surge earlier this summer, as you can see from the graph below.

As of 4pm today, 1.025m people in Oxfordshire have received a first and/or second dose of a coronavirus vaccine.
