A convicted child rapist was caught with vile sex abuse videos.

Wayne Nicoll, 46, who was jailed for seven years in the 90s, admitted having the sick cache of indecent images and videos when hear appeared before Oxford magistrates on Saturday morning.

He pleaded guilty to having 13 videos in category A, the most serious category, 42 category B images and videos and two indecent videos in category C.

Prosecutor Tina Flannery said police had found links on Nicoll’s computer to websites hosting child sex abuse material ‘specialising in babies and very young children’.

The court was told Nicoll was sentenced to seven years custody in the mid-90s for the rape of a nine-year-old.

The defendant, of Westwater Way, Didcot, pleaded guilty to four counts of making indecent images of children.

Appearing before the court wearing a grey tracksuit, he spoke only to confirm his personal details and his guilty pleas.

The justices remanded him into custody to appear before Oxford Crown Court on October 5 for sentence. A pre-sentence report was ordered.
