Meet Willie, a one-eyed, six-year-old Chihuahua cross breed who has been looking for his forever home for six months without much luck.

Willie has been at Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary (OAS) since February and is described as ‘affectionate, playful and fun’.

Could you give this adorable little guy a loving home this International Dog Day?

Iain Atkin, sanctuary manager at OAS said: “He's lovely once he knows and trusts you but needs a very specific home and owner because he is a resource guarder and doesn't get on with other pets.

“Therefore, he cannot be around children and other animals.”

OAS states Willie needs an ‘experienced’ owner and a home with minimal visitors.

An owner must also be prepared to undertake training and multiple visits to get to know new people, the sanctuary adds ‘he is not a lap dog’.
