North and West Oxford have joined the £1million house price 'club', according to new figures.

They are areas where at least 20 per cent of sales must have been above £1million in two or more three-month periods since the second quarter of 2020.

North and West Oxford (OX2) saw two quarters with at least 20 per cent of sales above £1million since Q2 2020.

The average price in this postcode in the six months to March 2021 was £813,735.

Ten London postcodes have joined the 'club' since March 2020.

Estate agents Knight Frank said the figures showed there was a growing demand for more space and green scenery after the lockdowns.

Tom Bill, the firm's head of UK residential research, said: 'The pandemic has left its mark on the UK property market by magnifying existing trends rather than re-writing the rulebook.

'Things won't pick up from where they left off in March 2020 but the wider trajectory will feel familiar."
