Police have issued another appeal on the one-month anniversary of Derek Brant's disappearance.

The last confirmed sighting of Derek was at around 3pm on Saturday 24 July near St Anne’s Annex, South Parade in Summertown.

He was wearing a navy/black coloured polo shirt, black cargo trousers and a fluorescent jacket (see picture).

Derek is known to frequent Kidlington and Summertown, sometimes assisting the local community with litter picking.

Superintendent Emma Garside, Cherwell and West Oxfordshire LPA commander, said: “It has now been one month since Derek was last seen and we continue to be concerned for his welfare.

“Thank you to everyone who has got in touch with us about Derek. Your information is followed up on as a priority and I’d ask again that anyone who believes they have information, no matter how insignificant they think it is, to please contact us.

“I’d also ask the community to please regularly check cars, sheds, outhouses and gardens in case Derek has sought shelter.

“Anyone who has information that they think could be important can contact us by calling 101 quoting reference 43210328398.”

Mr Brant, 63, is a member of the maintenance team at St Anne’s College, Woodstock Road in Oxford.

A spokesperson for the college previously said: “Derek is a much loved member of the maintenance team at St Anne’s and has been a familiar face around the college grounds for many years.

“Derek had recently been experiencing some episodes of confusion, so we are particularly anxious that he may have become lost or encountered difficulties.

“The maintenance team, as well as many other college staff, are desperate to have Derek back safe and well.

“We have tried to assist his family as much as we can, circulating Derek’s details and walking routes he may have used.

“Derek regularly walked much of his route to work and was frequently seen on the Banbury Road and Woodstock Road between Oxford and Kidlington."

On July 30, Thames Valley Police put out an appeal on social media with a video.
