PARTS of the M4 will be closed this weekend for 'essential repairs'.
The M4 will be closed between Junctions 13 (Newbury) and Junctions 14 (Hungerford) from 9pm on Friday 20 August through to 6am on Monday 23 August 2021.
The road will be closed in both directions for essential repairs that are taking place to the bridge near Wickham, which carries the M4 motorway over Welford Road.
During these closures, signed diversions will be in place via the A338, A4 and A34.
Delays are expected, so road users are advised to plan journeys in advance.
Highways England said on its website: “If work is complete ahead of schedule over the weekend of 20-23 August, we will reopen the motorway early.”
