It quickly became apparent that this was a fire involving 200 tonnes of linseed straw.

Appliances from Didcot Fire Station, Wallingford Fire Station and Watlington Fire Station were assisted by crews from across Reading and Bracknell who attended the incident and worked through the night until 9.30am today to prevent it spreading to surrounding property and other straw stores.

The fire is believed to be arson and the landowner is working with Thames Valley Police checking CCTV from the surrounding area.
