OXFORD University has been named the third best university in the UK.
According to research by University Compare, an online comparison site, the university climbed 11 places from last years rankings.
Oxford Brookes University, however, was ranked in 97th place, climbing down 18 places from previous years.

The website rates universities based on several categories including accommodation, course quality, graduate prospects and student social life.
96 per cent of Oxford students who took part in the survey said they would recommend it to friends, whereas 93 per cent of Brookes student said they would recommend their university.
Loughborough University was crowned the top university in the country, and Nottingham Trent University
