TWO taster days are being organised ahead of a planned African Heritage School.
The taster days will take place on August 14 and September 4 at The Old Music Hall, Cowley Road, with sessions running between 11am and 1pm, and from 2pm to 4pm.
The days are aimed at primary and secondary school children, and will focus on the development of children’s academic and artistic skills.
There will be local and visiting artists, tutors and teachers, who will ‘bring historical, artistic and academic concepts, knowledge and understanding to life’.
Entry is free and refreshments will be provided.
The taster sessions are precursors to a Saturday school which is set to commence in October.
