TWO men were stabbed before having their Volkswagen Golf stolen in a midnight robbery in Oxfordshire.

At around 12.30am today the victims – a man in his twenties and a man in his thirties – were sitting in their black car, by the garages just off Freeman Road, Didcot, when they were approached by two unknown men who told them to get out.

As the victims were getting out of the car they were stabbed by the two men who then drove off in the Volkswagen Golf.

One of the men was stabbed in the chest and sustained cuts to his arm, hand and fingers.

He remains in hospital at this time.

The other victim sustained a cut to his elbow and has since been discharged.

At this time, there are no descriptions of the offenders.

Investigating officer, detective sergeant Nathan Adby, based at Abingdon police station, said: "I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or who has information about what happened to please come forward.

"I would also ask anyone who lives in the local area to check any CCTV or doorbell footage in case it may have captured something that could assist with this investigation.
