POLICE are looking for witnesses after a young boy was assaulted.

At around 6.30 pm on Thursday (July 29), the victim was playing football at the ark by the Hilly Community Centre on Dover Avenue, Banbury, when he was approached by two teenage boys.

The teenage boys picked him up and took him to the side of the community centre building, before running off.

During this incident the victim scraped his arm causing cuts and bruising, but did not require any medical treatment.

The teenage boys were both white and around 15 years old, one had black curly hair.

Thames Valley Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Investigating officer PC Robert Crofts, based at Banbury police station said: “I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident, or anyone who has any information, to please get in touch.
