A MAN was cut on the neck and a police officer was assaulted in Oxford.
The incidents happened at around 12.15am today in Cowley Road.
The area was cordoned off and there was a large police presence at the scene.
The man who received a cut to his neck was treated at hospital, but has since been discharged.
Two men, a 40-year-old and a 21-year-old, both from Oxford, were arrested on suspicion of assault and on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
