Oxford is one of the best cities for access to mental health support, a new study reveals.
With 42 per cent of people in the UK waiting three months for initial mental health support, a new report has analysed towns and cities up and down the country to discover how accessible mental health support is in each.
The report, from supplements company Supplement Place, looks into: counsellors and psychologists per population, mental health support spending, wait times and costs.
The report reveals that Oxford has the easiest access to counsellors and psychologists with 50 chartered psychologists in the city and 235 counsellors and therapists located within 15 miles of the Oxford. This means there are almost 33 Psychologists per 100,000 people.
