SEVEN new patients have been admitted at Oxfordshire hospitals in the last 24 hours after they tested positive for Covid-19.
Official Government figures show that as of 4pm on Thursday, a further 247 new coronavirus cases were registered in the county.
Currently, there are 36 patients all together with the virus admitted in Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with three of them on ventilation.
The rate of infection in Oxford now stands at 8,672 cases per 100,000 people, lower than the England average of 8,950.

The UK has recorded a further 85 Covid-related deaths and 31,117 new cases with 932 patients admitted to hospital, Public Health England confirmed.
Cases identified through a positive lateral flow test – those which can deliver results within half an hour – will no longer be counted if the person then takes a PCR test, which is sent to a lab to be checked, and receives a negative result within three days.
