Almost a third of dogs bought in lockdown are now overweight, according to research and pooches from Oxford are the most overweight.
New research from pet food brand, Naturo has revealed that Oxford is home to the most overweight pooches, as half of owners there admit their dogs are overweight.
The researchers say that the reasons for the increase in pooch pounds are mostly down to owners buying their dog’s love with treats and a third admitting that their dogs are spoilt, so they are allowed to eat whatever they would like. This could be because almost one in ten say that due to lockdown they have felt bad so treated them more.
