Bedding from B&M, drinks from BP and a packet of Benson and Hedges cigarettes. Several thieves and burglars have been seen and put to justice at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court over the past few weeks.

Punishments have varied – some have been given lengthy suspended prison sentences, meaning any further offences will seen them thrown in jail, while others have been ordered to complete community service or just told to pay £5 compensation.

Take a look at the list below to see who has been convicted of theft and burglary from May 26 to June 22.

Michaela Almond, 26, of West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe, was charged with theft from a shop when she appeared at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on May 26.

She had stolen bedding from B&M in Aylesbury valued at £487.

Almond was committed to prison for four months suspended for 24 months.

Malcolm Hearn, 22, of Grenville Close, Burnham, was charged with multiple counts of theft from a shop at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 2.

He stole one Adidas jacket and one Calvin Klein jacket worth £129.98 from TK Maxx, in Taplow, on September 22, 2020, and received a community order requiring him to be under curfew with electronic monitoring for three months. He was also ordered to pay £129.98 compensation

He also attempted to steal several fragrances of unknown value from TK Maxx, Taplow on November 4, 2020, for which he received a community order.

Hearn also got a further community order for stealing goods worth £95 from Sainsbury's, in Taplow, on March 3.

Toby Sawyer, 48, of Denham Road, Iver was charged with theft from a shop when he appeared at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 7.

 On September 17, 2020, in Iver, he stole a bottle of wine valued at £5 from Co-operative Food. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £5 compensation.

Steven Unsworth, 36, of Blackwater Drive, Aylesbury was charged with burglary other than dwelling at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 10.

Between July 24, 2019 and July 27, 2019, in Aylesbury, he entered Tony and Guy hairdressers as a trespasser and stole £30 in cash. He was committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months, ordered to pay £100 compensation and £185 costs.

Jayden Fo, 18, of Webster Road, Aylesbury was charged with theft from a person at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 18.

Fo stole a packet of Benson and Hedges cigarettes, of unknown value, from another person in Aylesbury on September 16.

He was told he must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within 12 months for the offence.

Rebecca Edmonds, 52, of Sheepcote Dell Road, Holmer Green, was charged with theft from a shop at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 21.

She stole drinks from the BP petrol station in The Parade, Bourne End, on April 3. A community order made ordering her to engage with a rehabilitation activity requirement. She was also told to pay £6.90 compensation.
