A NUMBER of homes in Oxfordshire have been left without electricity due to power cuts – with some set to live without for days.

Engineers from Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks are currently attending several planned and unplanned cuts.

Wantage

OX12 9JN, OX12 9JP, OX12 9JR, OX12 9JS, OX12 9JU, OX12 9JW, OX12 9JY and OX12 9LJ – fault first reported at 11am on Sunday

Engineers were expected are already on site with the aim to have the power restored by 3.30pm today.

This is an unplanned power cut and a statement from the company said: "We are sorry for the loss of supply.

"We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.

"Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can."

Oxford

There are also two area just outside Oxford, also affected by power loss.

There are 10 postcodes in Wytham currently without electricity – OX2 8PY, OX2 8QA, OX2 8QB, OX2 8QE, OX2 8QH, OX2 8QJ, OX2 8QL, OX2 8QN, OX2 8QP and OX2 8QQ.

The planned power cut began at 8.30am today and is set to end on Friday at 4.30pm.

West Oxfordshire

Seven postcodes in West Oxfordshire will also remain without power for days.

These are OX29 6UP, OX29 6XG, OX29 6XH, OX29 6XJ, OX29 6XL, OX29 6XN and OX29 6XQ.

The planned power cut began at 8.30am today and is set to end on Friday at 4pm.
