IDENTICAL twin puppies have been born and are looking for their forever home.

Identical twin puppies are extremely rare – the first case was reported only in 2016.

The identical tri-colour Border Collie puppies were born on May 31 in Oxford and formed part of a litter of six.

Laura Crosby, who owns the puppies, said: “We have now had the DNA confirmation from animal diagnostics to confirm that these pups came from one egg.

“As they are now eight weeks old, they are ready for a new home in the big wide world.”

Ms Crosby spoke to a pet psychologist who suggested the twin puppies are kept together, before heading to their forever home.

She said: “They are extraordinary – they stay together, run up the garden together, they just go as a pair.

“They would be brilliant working on agility or training as sheepdogs.

"With the twins, however, I really do not want them separated."

Ms Crosby is looking for anyone ‘really into Border Collies’ to adopt the lovable twins.
