The delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympics gets under way today, with plenty of athletes from Oxfordshire hoping to score a gold medal at the Games.
This Games will see local athletes competing such as Bicester’s Kieran Bird, Oxford’s Sholto Carnegie and Kingston Bagpuize’s Tom Squires.
A huge number of rowers who use Henley-on-Thames’s Leander Club as a base will also be representing Team GB at the Games.
