EMERGENCY services attended a serious crash involving a lorry and two cars yesterday.
Two ambulance crews, an ambulance officer and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance rushed to the scene on the A417 Faringdon Road at around 12.11pm.
An elderly woman died in the crash.
Two people were assessed and following treatment at the scene, one of them was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The A417 was closed all afternoon and evening and just reopened this morning.
The A417 between Wantage and Faringdon has now re-opened following a serious road traffic collision that occurred yesterday afternoon near to the junction of the B4508.
