A CCTV image of a man police would like to speak to has been released as part of an investigation into arson attacks in Oxford.

At around 2.45am on Monday, two separate properties on Kingston Road and Plantation Road in Jericho had burning material placed through their letterboxes.

This caused a significant fire at the Kingston Road address resulting in two people sustaining serious burns.

They were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for medical treatment and have now been discharged.

A 30 year-old man from Stratford-upon-Avon was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life on Wednesday and he has now been released on bail with conditions.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector James Mather of Oxford CID said: “We are releasing a CCTV image of another man officers would like to speak to in connection with our ongoing investigation into these arson attacks in Jericho.

“If you recognise or have information about the man in the image, please contact us.

“We are also appealing again to anyone who might have seen or heard the incidents, or indeed have any information that could help this investigation to call us."
