SOME areas of Oxford are far behind others when it comes to the number of adults who have received the coronavirus vaccine.

A total of 109,776 people have had their first dose of the vaccine in the city while 68,746 have had their second dose.

Data revealed in an interactive map published by the Government shows the percentage of adults vaccinated up to and including July 18.

Altogether, 178,522 jabs have been given, but there are areas in the city that have seen a larger uptake than others so far.

For example, Wolvercote and Cutteslowe has the highest percentage of adults who have had their first dose with a figure of 78.4 per cent as of Sunday.

While Headington has the lowest percentage of first doses given at 40.8 per cent.
