OXFORD MAGISTRATES' COURT

DOM SANDERS, 27, of Fyfield Wick, Abingdon, was fined £288 and banned from driving for six months after he admitted driving without insurance or a licence. He was told to pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

EMANUEL PEEMEN, 66, of Bostock Road, Abingdon, admitted speeding on Witney Road, Standlake. He was fined £153, given three penalty points and ordered to pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

JOSHUA STOCK, 25, of Stadhampton, Oxford, was fined £660 and banned from driving for six months after he was found guilty in his absence of driving without insurance. He must pay £156 in costs and surcharge.

JOSHUA BEDFORD, 32, of Botley Road, Oxford, was jailed for 14 days for breaching the requirements of his post sentence supervision by failing to keep in touch with the probation service.

CAROLINE BULLEN, 28, of Botley Road, Oxford, admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order by approaching people for money and sitting on the ground within five metres of shops. She was given an 18 month community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge.

LUKE SHIRLEY, 20, of Windmill Road, Oxford, was sent to a young offenders’ institution for six months after he admitted possession of a blade at Matthew Wrigglesworth House, Windmill Road, and breaching an earlier suspended sentence order imposed last August for assaulting police officers.

JAN HEWLETT, 44, of Wynton Close, Didcot, was fined £300 and banned from driving for 20 months for drink driving on the A4142 Eastern bypass. He was ordered to pay £119 in costs and surcharge.

JAMES MCSPORRAN, 20, Chapel Lane, Oxford, admitted possession of cannabis and breaching an earlier suspended sentence order. He was fined £75 and ordered to pay £119 in costs and surcharge.

JULIO DOS-SANTOS, 37, of Wick Close, Oxford, admitted two counts of assault by beating. He was fined £80, ordered to pay £100 compensation and £119 in costs and surcharge.

OLIVER KINSLER, 29, of Walter Dyer Drive, Faringdon, pleaded guilty to failing to provide saliva for a drugs wipe test. He was fined £165, given four penalty points and ordered to pay £119 in costs and surcharge.

IAN BOUND, 43, of Bagley Close, Kennington, was fined £169 after he admitted obstructing a police officer on May 21, 2021. He was ordered to pay £119 in costs and surcharge.

STAR SHAW, 30, of Botley Road, Oxford, was ordered to pay £67.40 in compensation after she admitted stealing washing detergent from the Walton Street Co-op in May. She must also pay £85 costs.

KAREN BOTLEY, 51, of Ashhurst Way, Oxford, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in Gaisford Road, namely a rubberised pick axe handle, and damaging windows. She was given a 12 month community order, must pay £492 in compensation and do up to 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days. The magistrates ordered she pay £180 in costs and surcharge.

CONNOR NORTON, 27, of Steventon, near Abingdon, was fined £415 and banned from driving for 18 months after he admitted drink driving a BMW 430D M Sport in Steventon. Tests showed he had 89mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath – more than twice the legal limit of 35mcgs. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £42 victim surcharge.

SCOTT ARNOLD, 31, of Ferriston, Banbury, was jailed for eight weeks and ordered to pay £250 costs after he was found guilty in his absence of failing to comply with his community order.

MARK QUINN, 46, of Gordon Street, Oxford, admitted breaching his community order by failing to attend appointments. He was sentenced to eight weeks for the original offences of assaulting a police officer, failing to surrender to bail and disorderly behaviour.

DAVID BARTLETT, 43, of Choswell Spring, Oxford, was fined £660 and given six points after he was found guilty of failing to give police information relating to the driver of a Ford suspected of having committed a traffic offence. He was ordered to pay £156 in costs and surcharge.

LEWIS BOWSHER, 39, of Windle Gardens, Bicester, was found guilty of driving without insurance. He was fined £660, given six penalty points and ordered to pay £156 in costs and surcharge.

JAMES BROWN, 48, of Highfield Avenue, Oxford, admitted driving in Eynsham Road, Botley, without insurance. He was fined £500, given six penalty points and ordered to pay £140.

SHELDON CADOGAN, 26, of Howard Street, Oxford, was fined £160 and banned from driving for six months after he admitted driving without insurance or a licence on Barton Road. He must pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

MAME DIBA, 26, of Bretch Hill, Banbury, was found to have driven without insurance in Banbury. He was fined £660, banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay £156 in costs and surcharge.

DEAN WILLIAMSON, 35, of Combe, Oxfordshire, was found guilty of driving without insurance or a licence on Woodstock Road, Witney. He was fined £880, banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending and ordered to pay £156 in costs and surcharge.

MARYLYN FOSTER, 28, of Shackleton Close, Bicester, admitted trespassing on the railway lines at Banbury, damaging a coronavirus sign belonging to Chiltern Railways and a charge of racially-aggravated disorderly behaviour. She was ordered to pay £400 in compensation and given a six month conditional discharge.

MATEUSZ SZYNCZAK, 27, of Cherwell Street, Banbury, admitted possession of a knife in Castle Street and possession of amphetamine. He was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment suspended for a year and a half, given a 12 month drug rehabilitation requirement and fined £50 for failing to surrender to bail.

LIAM HISSEY, 21, of Station Road, Grove, admitted assault by beating. He was given a community order with 35 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 100 hours of unpaid work. The magistrates ordered he pay £150 in compensation and £410 in costs and surcharge.

ALAN CLARE, 48, of Friars Wharf, Oxford, admitted drunk and disorderly behaviour. He was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £107 in costs and surcharge.

IVAN IVANOV, 51, of New Bridge Street, Witney, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Ford Transit in Witney. Tests showed he had 103mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £583, banned from driving for 25 months and ordered to pay £139 of costs and surcharge.

TOM WEARING, 27, of Quarry Road, Witney, admitted disorderly behaviour. He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge.

RICO SANGHA, 32, of The Hawthorns, Banbury, admitted sending grossly offensive messages. He was fined £392, given a 12 month restraining order and told to pay £124 in costs and surcharge.
