Face masks will remain compulsory for learner drivers after tomorrow's 'Freedom Day'.

While the country moves to step four of the roadmap today, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has announced it will be expecting those taking their driving tests to still wear a face covering.

The DVSA has warned that those taking the test who come without a mask could risk their test being cancelled.

Those who have a physical or mental illness or impairment, or disability or those who a mask would cause severe distress are exempt from wearing a mask in their driving test.
