More than 60 people 'took the knee' at an event in Oxford – in support of the black England football players who were subject to racial abuse following last weekend's Euros final.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka have received support from communities across the country since the abuse, which followed missed penalties in the game.
Organisers of a youth football event in Florence Park yesterday, invited players to join adults to 'take the knee' and everyone decided to take part.
Statements from the three England players were read out by organisers.
A speaker at the event claimed Boris Johnson and Priti Patel were implementing laws that they believe would increase harassment of black and Gipsy, Roma, Traveller communities, hamper anti-racist protests, and scapegoat refugees and migrants with immigration plans.
The event was organised by Florence Park Black Lives Matter solidarity group and supported by Oxford Stand Up To Racism.
