Primary school children became puppet masters for a day.
The budding Geppettos from Sandhills Community School built their own puppet creations on Wednesday and brought them to life in their own play. Nine youngsters aged between seven and 10 took part in the Puppet Pioneers workshop run by the Headington-based Creation Theatre Company.
They included Olly Lavy, 10, and Isabel Stone, six, who are pictured with one of their puppets. Theatre sales and marketing assistant Alex James said: "You can see them build in confidence as they get to use their own ideas and imaginations.
"Friends and family came along to watch their performance."
