Supermarket customers across Oxfordshire can check out their health while filling their shopping trolley.
Tesco has introduced a new health service in stores with pharmacies. For £20, staff at stores in Marcham Road, Abingdon; Wallingford Road, Didcot, and Reading Road, Henley, will carry out a confidential 30-minute 'MOT' in a private consultation area - and until early March the supermarket health check will be half price.
The sessions, which were launched on January 2, include weight management, a blood pressure check, a total cholesterol check and diabetes screening.
Tesco pharmacy services manager Philip Banks, said: "Understanding more about your health is vital to staying fit and well. The four checks that make up the service are key to identifying whether you may be at risk of developing health complications or conditions such as diabetes and heart disease in the future.
"As part of the service, our pharmacists can provide healthy lifestyle advice which might help prevent or delay the onset of certain health conditions."
