Lego lover Zoe Bingham, nine, has designed a mythical creature to help fight climate change that will become a lifesize model at Legoland Windsor.

Her drawing of ‘Beauty Beast’ will be recreated from thousands of coloured bricks and take pride of place in the new Mythica land.

Zoe, from Headington, won the resort’s Create a Creature competition judged by a public vote on social media.

Her proud family dedicate her achievement to her Uncle Rich who died of bowel cancer aged 42 during the pandemic. The two shared a passion for playing with Lego.

Zoe said: “My sister Emma and I both entered a day before the closing date, and I never thought in a million years that my design would have a chance.

“We have more than 10,000 bricks and I love building and creating imaginary worlds out of Lego which was really helpful during lockdown because it meant that I could come up with lots of different characters and stories.”
