A jail cook has appeared in court accused of having a ‘personal relationship’ with a prisoner.
Catering assistant Amanda Swain is said to have been involved with a serving prisoner at HMP Bullingdon before May 2020.
The 51-year-old, of Ducklington, near Witney, appeared before Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday charged with neglecting to perform her public duty while holding a public office.
She was bailed to appear before Oxford Crown Court on August 5.
