A prisoner who shares a name with an Aztec god of wisdom is said to have attacked gaolers.

Arthur Williams, 28, who also goes by the name Quetzalcoatl, has already admitted beating guards at HMP Bullingdon in September 2020.

He is also said to have attacked police officers in Brighton in April, just two months after he was given a community order by an Oxford judge.

On Tuesday, Judge Ian Pringle QC heard that Williams, of Hollingdean Road, Brighton, had not been brought to Oxford Crown Court as he was receiving treatment at a secure hospital in Surrey.

Judge Pringle adjourned sentence until July 22.
