RICHARD Stevens has been selected as Labour's Parliamentary candidate for Oxford West & Abingdon.
Lawyer Mr Stevens, 28, is also a community governor at New Marston Primary School. He and Conservative Nicola Blackwood are the declared runners challenging Liberal Democrat MP Evan Harris, who retained his seat in 2005 with 46.3 per cent of the vote.
The Tories polled 31.7 per cent in second place with Labour third on 16.6 per cent.
