A CAR with 'serious structural issues' was found by police over the weekend, while the force looked for a missing person.

The car was found near Appleton and appeared to have no visible number plates.

The vehicle was found by an on-duty police officer, PCSO Horner, who was heading back to Abingdon after assisting in searching for a missing person.

The police said the vehicle was 'clearly not roadworthy' and so Thames Valley Police Roads Policing had to attend the scene.

The driver was given a £100 fine and 3 points.
