A BULGARIAN woman, who has been living in Oxford with her husband and three children for longer than a decade, has warned EU Settlement Scheme applicants to be vigilant after an error that caused her application to 'disappear'.

With only days left to apply, Kremena Tsvetkova tried to log in to check on her pending application - made in 2019 - on the Government website but to her shock, could not find any trace of it.

The 38-year-old, who owns a domestic cleaning business, sent off her documents in September 2019 alongside her husband's and children's.

Nearly two years later, Ms Tsvetkova 'panicked' after being unable to see her application and applied again, despite having a confirmation email from the Home Office.

The mother-of-three said: "To my horror, my husband's one was there – all normal – as well as my daughter's status, but mine and my two boys' had disappeared.

"So, I panicked and started applying again as we all know time is running out on June 30."

Hours after the Oxford Mail contacted the Home Office about Ms Tsvetkova's case, she received a call from an officer about her application who informed her that her EU Settled Status was granted in 2019.

A spokesperson for the Home Office explained that Ms Tsvetkova had used 'incorrect log in details', which is why she could not see her application.

"Ms Tsvetkova and her family have been granted EU Settled Status," they said.

"We have been in touch with them so they can access their account."
