Plants have been ripped out of two barriers being used in the east Oxford Low Traffic Neighbourhood scheme.
The planters that have been damaged are in Littlehay Road in Florence Park.
Twitter user @JustThinkOXON tweeted photos of them this morning which show plants have been thrown on the floor.
The planters had been decorated by residents including children in the past.
The LTN scheme, being trialled across Oxford, has proved divisive among communities.
Earlier this month, a planter, acting as a barrier to traffic within the Cowley Low Traffic Neighbourhood scheme, appeared to have been set alight.
In the wake of the fire, local residents rallied together to decorate the charred planter with children’s drawings, painted signs, garden gnomes and new flowers.
