A BRIDGE that was closed after faults were discovered has now reopened to vehicles.

Oxfordshire County Council has opened Barford Bridge between Barford St John and Barford St Michael again in North Oxfordshire.

It is now open to vehicles, subject to a three-tonne weight limit and a two-metre width limit.

The road was closed in April after an inspection revealed deterioration of the bridge which the council said was due to the large number of HGVs using the route.
