POLICE are hunting three men who broke into a house and threatened a woman with a crowbar.

One of the men went upstairs to search the house at Bourton, near Shrivenham, while two men stayed downstairs. The men left about ten minutes later with £58 in cash.

The robbery happened at about 1pm on Saturday but police only released details this afternoon.

The robbers were white and aged about 20. Two men are tall and thin with short black hair and one was wearing a black bomber jacket. The third man is slightly larger and had short dark hair.

Det Con Jon Shaw said: "The men claimed that they were at the property to see a man about buying a motorcycle. Police are linking this to similar offences that happened on the same day in Wiltshire.

"This is a terrifying type of burglary that has left the victim, a woman in her sixties, shaken from the ordeal and we are keen to catch these men."

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact Det Con Shaw at Abingdon police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don't want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
