Thunderstorms warning for Southampton today as weather takes a turn
THE Met Office have warned that thunderstorms could hit Southampton from today.
A Yellow Weather Warning has been issued for the city, part of the New Forest and Winchester until 9pm this evening.
Another thunderstorms warning for 6am tomorrow until 6am Saturday has also been sent out.
The Met Office said that while most places "are staying cloudy with little rain" there is "a chance of a few thunderstorms developing Thursday afternoon".
It added that from tomorrow "spells of heavy rain may lead to some travel disruption and flooding. For some, rain may be accompanied by thunder and lightning."
