Sir - Last month I read with some incredulity your report on the 'illegal' use of the Seacourt park-and-ride lane, which was illustrated with photographs of motorists using it as a short-cut to the Botley Road.
Where, exactly, does it state that use of this lane is illegal? One would have more respect for The Oxford Times if your reporters produced photographic evidence of the vast number of illegal vehicles parked in Oxford, with no current road tax and, consequently, no insurance. This is the real epidemic that needs to be addressed, not those who are relieving traffic congestion by using the Seacourt park-and-ride lane!
