Police took to Twitter to apologise for anyone who had their sunny afternoon ‘rudely disturbed’ by an ‘extremely abusive and aggressive’ man.

Yesterday in Abingdon Market Place a man was arrested after being ‘abusive’ towards two PCSOs.

The man has since been charged and remanded for public order offences and for breach of a community behaviour order.

Police said he will be spending the night in a cell before being taken to court.
