POLICE believe a hole discovered in the door of a Didcot home was an attempt to use a drill to 'gain access to the property'.

Thames Valley Police has appealed for information about the drill hole, which is believed to have been made at around 4.45am on Sunday, June 6.

A police appeal said: "It is believed they were trying to gain access to the property but were unsuccessful.

"If you saw anything suspicious around the time of the incident or have CCTV or dash cam footage that may cover the area at this time, please contact us to assist with this investigation."
