On arrival, crews were faced with a smoke logged basement.

Crews went into the basement and discovered a large battery back up box on fire.

Oxford Mail:

Residents of the house had already made an escape before taking in any of the smoke.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Services confirmed this was due to working smoke alarms and having an escape plan in place.
