A professional artist and illustrator has painted his house and garage with sunflowers as a House Float ahead of the Cowley Road Carnival.
Alex Singleton, who trained at the St Martin’s School of Art, said he has made it his mission to “inspire people to be more creative with their surroundings.”
He has also decorated the wall in front of his house with harboard painted sunflowers and is encouraging people to make their own bloom and bring it along for him to place alongside.
He said: “The concept is for people to bring their own flowers to add to the wall and continue the mural onto the front.”
He added: “I spent the first 11 years of my life in Italy and the sunflower has been a very important flower to me as something joyful and happy.”
You can see the house and bring a sunflower to add to the display to 6 St Nicholas Road, Littlemore.
Mr Singleton added: “Please remember to bring a beanpole to help me fix it to the wall.”
