Fire crews dealt with a serious road traffic collision near Faringdon on the A420 just after 11pm last night.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision and one was in a field.

Fire crews from Faringdon, Bampton and Abingdon were faced with three casualties with injuries.

Working with colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service, Thames Valley Police and Thames Valley Air Ambulance crews were able to extricate the casualties who are believed not to have life threatening injuries.

The road was shut for several hours reopening in the early hours.

TVP are investigating the cause of the collision.
