A man has denied attacking another in Oxford last year.

James King, 20, is said by prosecutors to have assaulted his alleged victim in Oxford on February 29, 2020.

Appearing before Oxford Crown Court, King, of Audley, Stoke-on-Trent, pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent and an alternative charge of causing grievous bodily harm.

Judge Michael Gledhill QC granted the man bail and set the trial for December 6.

Kirsty Allman appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. King was represented by Lucy Tapper.
