POLICE are looking for a man who is wanted in connection with a fight that broke out in Barton, Oxford.

Officers want to speak to 19-year-old Lewis Brown after the incident which took place at around 6.30pm on Wednesday at Underhill Circus, where a number of males were involved in violence using weapons.

A 19-year-old man suffered an arm and thumb injury and was treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital. He has since been discharged.

Two 17-year-old boys both from Oxford have previously been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and possession of a bladed article and have been released on bail.

A 21-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of affray and has been released under investigation.

Andee Morton, 49, of Westlands Drive, Oxford, has been charged with affray, possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article and threatening a person with an offensive weapon, and has been bailed to appear at Oxford Crown Court on July 8.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing Mr Brown.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Gorman, based at St Aldates police station, said: “We are appealing to anybody who knows the whereabouts of Lewis Brown to please contact police.

“We need to speak to Lewis about this incident, and I would also appeal directly to Lewis to please contact us as a matter of urgency.

“Anybody who sees him are urged not to approach him, but to call 999.

“Similarly, if you know where he is or have any information that can help us to locate him, please call 101, quoting reference number 43210239885.

“You can also make a report 100% anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
