THE LOCATIONS for a number of new Low Traffic Neighbourhoods have been revealed.

Oxfordshire County Council - who implement the LTNs across the county - began its consultation for a new set of LTNs at Divinity Road, St Clements, and St Mary's.

If plans go ahead, the new traffic filters will be installed as part of a six-month trial in the Autumn of this year.

In total, the council is looking to install 14 new traffic filters across East Oxford - 9 of which will be located in the St Mary's area.

This afternoon, the council revealed the location of the LTN barriers.

Divinity Road - two new filters:

  • One filter will be placed in the middle of Divinity Road, between the junctions of Warneford Road and Minister Road
  • The second filter will be placed on Southfield Road, between the junction of Warneford and Minister Road

These are in addition to the existing traffic filters nearby on Union Street, Collins Street, and East Avenue.

St Clements - two new filters:

  • The first filter will be added at the bottom end of Rectory Road, as you turn off St Clements
  • The other filter will be added at the bottom of Princes Street, as you turn off St Clements

These are in addition to the existing traffic filters nearby on Dawson Street and Union Street.

The consultation period begins today and will last until June 29.
