OXFORDSHIRE firefighters were called to the scene of a gyrocopter crash today.
The crash, which took place near Wendover in Buckinghamshire, saw Bicester fire crews rush to the scene to rescue the pilot and passenger.
According to the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, both of them 'luckily avoided serious injury and were able to walk away from the crash with minor injuries'.
They were given first aid by the fire crews who also 'made the scene safe'.
Photos posted to Facebook show the bent out of shape remains of the gyrocopter, which appears to have fallen into a field alongside a hedgerow.
The rotating blades of the vehicle, which is similar to a helicopter have bent and fallen against the ground.
