Hundreds of people queued to see a film which this small group of protesters thought was too violent.
The Sun newspaper had offered free tickets to its readers to see a preview of the violent new blockbuster movie Rambo in 1985. As they waited to go in, they were met by a banner-waving quintet claiming the film, starring Sylvester Stallone, should be banned. Mr Crofts, a journalist and former film critic, from Stonesfield, said they believed the sort of violence re-enacted in Rambo encouraged hooliganism.
